• July 26  –  Favorite Son of Norway Recognized
  John "Jack" Ralston, Norway graduate and former football coach at Stanford University and Denver Broncos will be honored as a Favorite Son of Norway in festivities planned for July 26, 2008. Arrangements are being coordinated by the Jake Menghini Museum. Tentative plans include a down town parade and a Banquet/dinner program. Banquet tickets will be available. A special display of Coach Ralston's memorabilia will be the feature attraction at the Museum beginning in May.

• August 19  –  Dickinson County Bike Path Committee meeting
  Regular meeting of the Bike Path committee is Tuesday, August 19 from 6:30-7:30 pm in the Dickinson County Library , 401 Iron Mountain Street, in downtown Iron Mountain. They are working on a county-wide bike path system that will include Norway. The public is always welcome and encouraged to join or participate in this community effort. They meet every third Tuesday of the month, so mark your calendar for future meetings.
  
• August 27  –  Dickinson County Fair begins through Labor Day
  The Dickinson County Fair grounds are located in Norway south of town on Hwy 8 across from Marion Park. There is plenty of free parking on the grounds.
