Dickinson County Library Solomonson Branch
The Solomonson Branch of the Dickinson County Library offers programming all year, but the Summer Reading Program is our largest annual event. Registration begins shortly after school ends each year. The Summer Reading Program is open to kids of all ages (0-18) and we offer a program for adults too! This FREE program runs for 6-8 weeks each summer! To find out more, visit our website.

There is also a monthly book club that meets in Norway. The 'A Novel Bunch Book Club' meets the second Wednesday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at the Norway Library. Book selections and reading guides can be found at our website: http://www.dcl-lib.org/norwaybookclub.

Fill your world with color at Rainbow Reflections, Monday, July 9, 6 PM at the Dickinson County Library—Solomonson Branch, and Saturday, July 14, 10 AM at the Main Branch. This program invites children accompanied by an adult to experiment with patterns and reflections using CDs in several fun craft projects! Intergenerational partnerships are encouraged: bring a younger sibling, a grandchild, or the whole family to bond over these fun crafts. This program is sponsored at the Solomonson Branch by the Vulcan-Norway-Loretto Lions Club and at the Main Branch by the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club.
The Spoon Man: Music from the Kitchen

Enjoy some unconventional music and comedy with The Spoon Man: Music from the Kitchen, Tuesday, July 10, 1 PM at Norway City Hall, and 6:30 PM at the Dickinson County Library—Main Branch. The Spoon Man’s comical music performance at Norway City Hall will invite families and kids of all ages to laugh and sing along. That evening, young adults (grades 6-12) and adults can learn to play the spoons at our Music from the Kitchen workshop at the Main Branch! Summer Reading Minutes Due

The last day to log reading minutes from Summer Reading is Saturday, July 28 at 5 PM! This is the last day for preschoolers, kids, teens, and adults to turn in your handwritten calendar log, enter your minutes online through Wandoo Reader, or visit your library for assistance logging your minutes. Make sure to get credit for all of the reading you’ve done this summer! Please call us at 774-1218 with any questions.
