Every spring, people from Norway, Michigan and the surrounding area eagerly await the opening of Chenier's Greenhouse, which marks the beginning of the summer gardening season with a stunning variety of flowers, plants, gardening supplies, and expert customer service.

Chenier's is a third-generation, family-owned business located near Gladstone, Michigan, and has been operating for over 45 years. They manage two greenhouse locations: one in Flatrock and another on US2 in Downtown Norway. Since the opening of the Norway location in the spring of 2021, Chenier's has developed a loyal following of gardeners who eagerly visit the greenhouse as soon as it opens in late April. One customer from Northeast Wisconsin mentioned that she looks forward to Chenier's opening as if it were a spring holiday.

Visitors to the Norway store and greenhouse are greeted by a sensory overload (in a good way) of flowers, plants, customized pots, and planters. Chenier's grows and sells annuals, perennials, vegetables, trees, shrubs, seeds, soil products, accessories, and more. If you have a vision for your summer garden, the knowledgeable staff can provide options and best practice advice to get you started.

Chenier's is open annually from the last week of April to the end of June. They recommend buying your plants and flowers in early to mid-May to ensure you get the best selection and then waiting until the first week of June for planting to avoid any late spring U.P. frosts.

Chenier's is happy to be a vibrant part of life in Norway and takes pride in helping customers add more beauty to their homes and gardens. Co-owner Mike Chenier describes the community as welcoming from the moment they started, and that the customers he sees daily are like an extended part of the family.
