Owner Monica McElroy-Denissen grew up on the lakes of Norway, Michigan, and has taken a great interest in bringing new services to Downtown Norway’s business community for both travelers and residents. Lake & Trail Rentals’ central location makes it as convenient as possible to stop by, explore what you want to do with their friendly, knowledgeable team, and plan your day around an outdoor activity you may not have thought to try before.
Lake & Trail Rentals operates by appointment, seven days a week, which keeps things simple for first-timers, regulars, and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts looking for an adventure in Norway. Next-day reservations can be booked online until 5 PM the night before, giving the team time to prep gear and run safety checks before your arrival. Same-day rentals are available depending on staff and equipment on hand. However, they can’t always be guaranteed, so booking ahead is the safest bet — if you’re hoping for a same-day spot, call (906) 771-8606 between 8 AM and12:30 PM to check availability. Rentals run in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks, with multi-day and weekly options for longer stays. Pickup times are 9 AM (full or half-day) and 1:30 PM (half-day), with drop-off at 1 PM or 5:30 PM.
Lake & Trail Rentals now offers equipment delivery for an extra fee within a 30-mile radius, including bikes — a good option for groups or anyone staying outside downtown — though online booking is still required. The shop is also offering a Summer Float Package with a grab-and-go bundle of 4 tubes, 2 Super Noodles, 2 dry bags, and a floating cooler tube — perfect for a Saturday-afternoon group float down the Menominee River.
