Norway Mountain
Norway’s ultimate winter playground.
The Norway Mountain Ski Resort is open and ready for adventure this winter ski season. With its prime location, breathtaking views, challenging runs, and a warm atmosphere, this newly renovated facility appeals to seasoned skiers, beginners, and families alike.
Although Norway Mountain has long been a regional skiing destination for decades, the hill had been closed for a few seasons until new owners Justin and Julie Hoppe reopened the ski lodge doors in 2024. The revitalized Norway Mountain pays tribute to the resort's history while providing one of the premier skiing experiences in the Upper Peninsula.
Norway Mountain ski resort is situated at an elevation of 1,335 feet, offering visibility for nearly 50 miles on clear days. The hill features a vertical drop of 500 feet, which is impressive for its 100-acre area. It boasts a system of 17 trails, evenly distributed to suit skiers of all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and expert. Six ski lifts and a modernized snowmaking system are in place to keep you on the slopes all day throughout the season. Visitors can purchase daily lift tickets, seasonal passes, and ski school lessons on the Norway Mountain website.
After a full day of skiing or snowboarding, skiers can unwind and socialize at the Moosehead Restaurant. With its rustic lodge atmosphere and panoramic views of the ski hill, it's the perfect spot to relax. The menu features a variety of comfort food options, including appetizers, classic sandwiches, pasta dishes, and fish entrées, along with a full bar.
Looking for a unique venue to host a party tailored to your needs? Outside of the winter ski season, Norway Mountain's facilities are available for weddings, corporate events, golf outings, community gatherings, and family gatherings, with full-service staff support for any logistical, catering, or entertainment needs that may arise.
The new owners are committed to hosting family-oriented community events throughout the year, featuring activities such as soccer, golf, archery, splatter ball, and Ice Cream socials.
Norway Mountain, with its newly renovated facilities and a dedicated team of experienced ski resort professionals, is ready to provide thrilling ski experiences for both traveling adventurers and local enthusiasts. Conveniently located just a short drive up the hill from Downtown Norway, this resort is a fantastic addition to the area's year-round attractions.
